A Setting for Gatherings
In the leafy neighborhoods of Pasadena, the Palm Grove Residence reveals its heart in a dining space that feels both sculptural and welcoming. Designed as a seamless dialogue between wood, glass, and light, the room embodies balance: a stage for intimate dinners and lively gatherings alike.

The Dining Room
At the center stands a walnut dining table, its generous length matched with upholstered chairs in ivory linen. Above, a geometric brass chandelier hangs like a modern sculpture, illuminating the table with an even glow. Natural light floods through sliding glass panels, softening the edges of the space and opening the room to views of trees just beyond the terrace.

The Architectural Cabinet
Anchoring one wall is a striking arched cabinet in rich wood, its inset panels and hidden lighting offering both storage and display. The circular form contrasts the linear grid of the chandelier above, creating visual rhythm within the space. This sculptural element grounds the dining room in warmth, balancing functionality with statement design.

The Kitchen Connection
To the side, the open kitchen island extends the material story in walnut and stone, continuing the theme of crafted simplicity. Crisp white cabinetry forms a quiet backdrop, allowing the natural grain of wood and the warmth of brass fixtures to take center stage. Together, kitchen and dining function as one fluid environment, tailored for both hosting and everyday living.

Dining as Ritual
The Palm Grove Residence demonstrates how dining is more than a functional space — it is ritual, rhythm, and atmosphere. Through proportion, material harmony, and careful lighting, this dining room becomes a modern sanctuary for gathering, where nature’s presence just beyond the glass completes the design’s quiet symphony.
